Index of All Your Fiction Series on Substack!
Looking for a good reading binge? Start here.

Today I’m launching this special page that will serve as the main index hub of all the Substack Fiction Series monthly spotlights I’m doing. 🎉 (I’ll be refreshing and updating this page each month, so watch for changes!)
You can click here to go to the Substack Fiction Picks Collective section list of posts if you prefer to do the whole infinite scroll down thing, which also shows you the books I’m reading lately that I talk about in monthly updates.
I’m always surprised by how few people seem to know how many serial stories there are on this platform, so I’m excited to spread awareness about all of these great authors. This was my biggest frustration while writing my Sci-Fi Comedy Series “The Intergalactizen’s Guide to Taming Earthlings” – that so many people didn’t seem to know Substack could be a fun publishing option all on its own.
This index includes:
100+ Active Writers To Check Out
My May 2025 Series Picks
My April 2025 Series Picks

First up…
Have you ever found a fiction series on Substack where the writer only did one or two installments and then abandoned it? (I have. The struggle to finish and write consistently is REAL.)
Well, this thread solves that problem for you because here are loads of active writers with new works in Substack:

This note conversation drew in a whole host of writers old and new to this platform, so please peruse through them all. I’m so grateful to be meeting them all as I scroll through and look at each person who responded and their recommendations. It will probably take me a few months to get through the whole list, but I shall prevail!
New series I’m into for May 2025:
To see previews of each of these books, please go to my ⬇️
The Book Group by James Ross (Historical fiction)
Echoes from the Abyss by Bradley Ramsey (Sci-Fi mystery)
The Silent Fleet by MaryEllen Brady (Sci-Fi Adventure/Suspense)
Death Whispers Series by Kummer Wolfe (Fantasy)
Fiction series picks I loved in April 2025:
1. Snowmen Are Murder by Ann Audree
I love this one because it’s just so much fun to read. Who ever thought a snowman looked dangerous? If you like humor with your mystery, then this story series is absolutely one to read by
.2. Fallen From Stars: The Fencing Master by Parrish Baker (writing as Urna Semper)
Fallen From Stars - THE FENCING MASTER (Part 1)

. What I love most about this one is the pacing. It moves fluidly from one moment to the next with just hints of backstory about landing in an unfamiliar place and learning to fight. It felt like elements of sci-fi and fantasy blend well here.3. Tales from the Triverse by Simon K. Jones
Anyone who’s been on Substack for a while has likely seen
😁 This series was one of the very first that I stumbled across, and it’s also one of the best organized in terms of his table of contents setup and graphics. The thing that grabs me about this story series is how interwoven the three worlds are with all these little details that connect in surprising ways. It’s an excellent read for people who like their fantasy detailed with lots of complex world building.Previous Substack series I’ve read so far that I ❤️
(updated monthly)
The Weight of Bone and Feather by Hannah Stone (Middle Grade Fantasy / Drama)
“The FateBinder Chronicles” by Misty Evans (Urban Fantasy)
Dracula Daily (a digital redistribution of Bram Stoker’s original novel)
Books I’m reading now:
🛸😂Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Book 3: Life, the Universe ad Everything by Douglas Adams
🖤🎭An ARC of Up in Molten Lights! (Book 2 of the series Behind the Crimson Curtain by E.B. Golden)
**Note: I do write book reviews, but now I only do it if it’s an outstanding book. Otherwise I tend to leave shorter notes about the books on my GoodReads pages.
Have you read any of these? If so, tell me what you thought about them and/or recommend other reads in the comments!
Wow!!! Thank you for the shout out & recommending Snowmen are Murder! 🥰 You made my day!!! I look forward to diving into some of your other recommendations!

I also have a serial sci-fi web series here. If you get some time, you can check it out. Here's the link to chapter 1, it's a short one:
